How about Mr. Catfish? The Benefactor (I still don't have an actual name for him yet)
You can draw him and/or the poor chow if you like.

The good thing is that coloration is natural for both of them. The catfish is a blueish gray and the chow is black.
As for clothes, you can choose the colors.
