God, I just had a furfag moment...

...I was looking through the Jack-o-Lantern patterns on my new Pumpkin Masters carving pattern book...and I saw there was a wolf pattern and my first reaction was "Ooh, he's kind of hot..."

I got back form a day trip to the Rainfurrest convention.
For the first time in my Con going days, and I absolutely loved AC in 2008 as the last I made it to. But for some reason, I felt so so out of place for the most part at RF, I wonder. And it was not because of RF at all. It looked to be a great con - it was all me in not being able to connect for some reason. My normal outgoing self was muted because I had this fear of coming off as a stalkerish type. I think it didnt help I pretty much knew nobody going this year except for Neoneon, since we had met before and hung out, but he was doing art in the Den, and I stopped in and chatted, roamed, stopped by again, got a badge done. Bought a bit of SWAG I had been meaning to get, and impulse buys after yapping with Spelunker Sal for a bit as well as prints from Turbine Divinity. Beyond that, got tons of blurry cell phone shots of the fursuit parade. Poked around a bit, then went home. COuldnt find a few folks I wanted to yap with at all (names on conbadges need to be bigger, you feel funny almost having to press your nose to someones chest trying to divine their name from their badge when your looking for someone). Think next con I go to, im going to go in a scraggly old man looking fursuit with a cane and shaking it at "all those ragamuffin furs with their art and raving and tail whoring" under my breath as I shake it harder and tell em to get the hell off my lawn...
