...Should I get a console?

A-ha-ha! You are as PRESUMPTUOUS as you are POOR and IRISH.
This feels very wrong for me to do, but I feel like I need to get a console already.
PC games are getting bad. Developers either release terrible poorly done unoptimized ports, or release them only to the consoles (PS3/360).
The only good PC developer I can think of right now is Valve, and that's all.
So yeah, should I get a console or not?
If yes, then which one? PS3 or Xbox 360?
Also tell me why I should get it. Pros and Cons?
FYI, my PC system is not terrible, but not the best neither.
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz
3GB RAM
WinFast GT220 (1GB)
Windows 7 64-bit

Pro: I'M ON THERE, It's pretty much PC on a Console, Wirelessly connect your PC to it to run music and videos to your TV, Can party up and chat with others and go into games all at the same time. Customizeable Avatars that you can use or buy stuff for. Most games now a days have Avatar Awards anyway. Has insider videos to games and upcoming things.
Cons: If you want to play Online, you need to pay. Children online, but you can mute them. The Xbox could Redring on you, but I bought mine since the begining, and I haven't had a problem.
I don't mind my Xbox360. Only grudge is the whole "You need a Gold Subscription to play games online with others."
Looks expensive too, and I don't think it's even available in Israel. Not sure though, but meh.
I have a ps3 myself and I like it.
Pros: Dont have to pay to play online. You have a web browser and bluray player. Fungames, and it dont cost too much.
Cons: You have to get somekind of "Playstation Pluss" memebe ship to get some demos, like Mafia 2. And the friendlist thingy is abit wierd. Patching takes ages (sometimes)
Pros: I'm there! >:3, Free online play, BluRay compatible (all the PS3 game disks are even BluRay), web browser, Playstation Move (Wii rip-off...), exclusive games (Uncharted2, Killzone2, LittleBigPlanet etc...), don't get so many retarded kids as Xbox? (i dunno), more reliable/durable than an Xbox? (red ring of death...).
Cons: PlaystationPlus (basically it's premium membership and you get access to some stuff that others can't for about £40/$40 a year but it's optional), doesn't have access to Xbox's exclusives (obviously).
Now if you really want a console, just check what exclusives there are. It's all opinions man.
Pros: I'm there, and its free (Plus account is shit). Also, it uses Blu-Ray, and it includes the Wi-Fi (But the new 360 does too though)
Cons: Its a bit more expansive than the 360. The messaging system sucks, but well, consoles are for playing, not for chatting, ¿no?
That's what it really boils down to: which console has more exclusives that fall into your tastes.
Xbox has more exclusives I enjoy too, excluding Halo >:I
All depends on what you want outta it. :V
I'm not saying PS3 are bad, just, not enough exclusives for me, might be different for you however
Deffo Xbox 360 from me
Also, if your looking for a good PC game, you may wanna try Resident Evil 5
