The Internet was supposed to be an engine that helped people share ideas and information across the world without fear of replisal.
Sure its turned into a cesspool of porn and retarded debates, but it still is a place where people can post their thoughts and express their deepest passions.
The amount of work and creativity that has exploded on the net far outweights the cons.

this kind of thing's been kicked around (mostly by neocons) for years now. it never even makes it to a vote because it always get stuck by the fact it's unconstitutional. considering it's timing it's mostly just a ploy to try and turn media corporations so they'll want republicans to win even more.
