[COMPOSERS] October, etc

Looking for a place to chat? Join us at #composers on FurNet!
October is here already. Goodness me, where has the year gone? No reported album news this month so let's crack on:
----
We want to showcase some of the best tracks from our budding composers, and last month we tried to get you to submit your tunes - we've got a few below, but we need more submissions! We need more responses this month, there's so much talent out there, and so much to show off! Here's the pick of the bunch:
JackChandler - View From A Park Bench - 11:14pm - An ambient trance number, representing the 11th hour of his 12-track EP, each track symbolising an hour of the day. This swirling synthy piece does visualise the dead of night very well.
Vasory88 - Max Don't Have Sex With Your Ex - A cover version of E-Rotic's techno piece, this awesome instrumental version smashes the original melodies and techno styles with hard metal guitars and riffs to create a stomping anthem.
Dabs - Legend Of The Dragon - In Hallowe'en month, comes a haunting, shivering classical piece. Largely centering around the string section, this orchestral epic dances from melody to melody throwing all instrumentation into the mix.
This month - post all your new submissions (from Oct 1 - Oct 31) in the reply to this journal, so they don't vanish anywhere after a week or so! Can't wait to hear what you're coming up with!
----
For 2011, we're thinking of setting up "Challenges". Ie, in January's journal we'd say "Your theme this month is: Winter" or whatever, and you'd fiddle away and come up with a piece that represents the theme, and the best ones get shown off in the journal. What are your thoughts on this? Does this sound like a good idea or too much work?
----
Finally, a sad new for Malcom the Bear: he has to sell his keyboard. More info on his journal, please check it!

This Album is a tribute to the man responsible for my staying awake late into the night from 1996 until 1988. All I can remember of those years were staring at a green, dimly-lit LCD display on an old clock radio as I fell asleep to the sounds of Groove Radio 103.1 FM.
