Legend of the Guardians

Well I just saw the Legend of the Guardians in 3-D ...and just like everybody is sayin', it's a damn fantastically good movie. It's well directed for 3-D and nicely thought out. Quite a violent movie too, with strong evil characters (that I love) and strong good characters.
Over all I have to agree with everyone, it is a movie well worth seeing. I was totally drawn in, locked down and watched every second of the superb digital rendering. (Every feather was perfect!)
If I weren't already a rubberbird/rooster...I'd be an owl, because let's face it; they are sexy birds.
So there's my movie review!
I could tell you more about it, but the only way to truly appreciate the scope and talent in this movie is to see it for yourself.
Minos has spoken. bucaw!

FA+

He can turn the one-note substance-devoid 300 into a cultural phenomena. He can also cast Hugo Weaving and Sam Neill as owls, and still make it work XD
I dunno what it is, but if I weren't a Cat I would so be a bird of some sort. I even have an alternative OC (that is the most mary of mary sues, I do not even care) who can transform into any bird and yeah, I just love the idea of WINGS and flying and teeheehee oh man I am gonna see the hell out of this movie
And when you see this movie.. you WILL fly. It's that good.
Well thank you .... The only draw back is that it is 'hip' to be an owl nowadays ... Because of this movie ... It will diminish the 'originaioty' factor of us who are and were owl from day one ...
*wing hugs* You are "so" very right about that and it's a pity honestly. It 'is' so very special to be an owl.
I'll just stick with my rubbery self...not too many of me around and I'm an original for sure. I don't think there will be too many sadistic rubberbird movies coming out any way soon. ;)
Besides, the henchmen get to do MENACING STARES.
Heh, for some reason all the trailers reminded me of that Silverwing TV series that was out for a while.
And Darkwing (or Dusk) is about a prehistoric bat.
Just wiki or google 'Kenneth Oppel'.

I can't wait for the strays to start disappearing.
Oooh so very nice to have an owl nearby. Yes, the strays will be in peril! :)
I think you would like this movie. Of course I'm biased in my views, but it's very well done, superbly directed to take advantage of all that 3-D goodness and it's got plenty of action as well. Very much worth the trip to the cinema.
okay enough being a bird nerd (though I can't help it)
Also an odd coincidence, last week we admitted our first ever Barn Owl to the Raptor center I volunteer at (too bad it died in transport, it was a really pretty bird).
