30ish Films
I saw this going around the other day though I would do one too.
As I understand, this is a list of 30 of your favorite films (in no particular order). Now understand that not all of these films are good but they are my favorites.
1. Andromeda Strain (70's version)
2. Fantastic Voyage
3. The Incredibles
4. The Fountainhead
5. Goldfinger
6. Thunderball
7. Journey to the Far Side of the Sun (aka Doppleganger)
8. Alien
9. Aliens
10. Star Trek 2, Wrath of Khan
11. The Mysterions
12. Them
13. Earth VS the Flying Saucers. I based a comic off this movie.
14. Dark City
15. It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
16. The Thing (from Another World), 1951
17. Forbidden Planet
18. 20 Million Years to Earth (aka Quatermas and the Pit)
19. The Longest Day
20. Colossus: The Forbin Project
21. Star Wars, A New Hope
22. The Empire Strikes Back
23. Attack of the Clones
24. Dick Tracy
25. Silent Running
26. Dark Star
27. The Road Warrior
28. An American Werewolf in London
29. Gog
30. Thunderbirds are Go!
Bonus listing, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Green Slime and The Crawling Eye
Looking this over I'm not surprised to see it weighted heavy to sci fi. If you haven't seen some of these I recommend checking them out.

FA+

Speaking of robots, The Invisible Boy is a light, kid's adventure film with a few very funny lines, and co-stars Forbidden Planet's Robbie.
Planet of Storms / Planeta Bur is a rather nifty Soviet film in the "Go to Venus and see weird stuff[/I] genre, with a very nice robot prop.
Is Planeta Bur, Voyage to a Prehistoric Planet? If it is then I have seen it and yes it has a very cool robot in it as well.
I have the same Forbidden Planet set. The little Robbie is in my toy collection.
Planeta Bur was bought by Corman and the effects scenes were cut into at least two films; I think Voyage to a Prehistoric Planet was one of them. It's very much a different movie, however. Still, the robot made it through intact.
On the subject of credible robots, Chopping Mall has some very believable-looking props. Unfortunately, they're in the film Chopping Mall, which is a terrible movie. And they animated in some laser blasts for no apparent reason.
While I thought Lost in Space was so so, I loved Big Blue. Was very sad he was destroyed.
Robot is On-Line!
ALSO "GOG" AND "THE MYSTERIANS!"
Mysterians! A Toho movie without Godzilla, amazing. Did you know there is a sorta sequel? Battle in Outer Space reuses some of the props and models and kinda fits as a continuation seeing as some of the mystrons did get away at the end.
