Unexpected advancement

Soooo, I've been trying to move ahead as a chef, and was aiming for the Catering Chef position at work. Welllllllll, I got it today, AND am kitchen supervisor also! O.O Holy WTVOOK? Totally not what I was expecting, but, I'll take it. :)
Admittedly I'm not the ONLY kitchen supervisor, there's a second, and we're still underneath the Executive Chef and General Manager, but still... >.>

Okay, no, not really. Although I can be a dick at times when in charge, but that's only because I want to make sure things are done, and done right, and done to the best of someone's abilities.
Now let's see if it translates into a raise. I'd like that, but it's not necessary. I'm just glad to be in a position from which I can learn and advance and grow. :)
