Ow, yeah I know how that happens. Theres these little hairs in your ears surrounded by water and they wiggle and jiggle and that's how you tell what way is up. Lots of noises makes them vibrate in all ways and it gets almost like vertigo.
Not sure about the one in this video... but the prior record holder drove his car to and from the track and drove it down the Vegas strip on weekends in triple digit heat without it overheating. Now THAT is impressive!
Not a fan of non-street legal cars. It pretty much has to pass Top Gear's specifications: street legal and can go over a speed bump. Though I'd also extend that to include a roof, the Ariel Atom isn't a real car IMO just a go kart with blinkers.
Actually, I dunno bout this one, but the guy that held the record before drove his to and from the track and cruised the vegas strip without overheating. It had full interior aside from no back seat. (No stereo or anything, but seats, carpet, door panels) though imagine the NOISE, even if you put mufflers on it. And a ride about as subtle as a bucking bronco. Still...
I'd do it eagerly!
I agree about the Ariel Atom. Though I'd still get a kick out of owning one, I'd also be afraid to drive it a lot. Imagine if a vehicle in front of you is kicking up a lot of gravel. It's more than face and eye protection, how about legs and feet. It'd make for something fun to take to the track on weekends, though.
