This is only too true. It's a shame there really are so many ignorant people in the world. There could probably be a lot less trouble if more people were proactive about educating people.

I think it was largely a problem here, simply because people never associated "yiffing" with STDs, because it's suddenly not sex anymore. Guess it's completely different if you think you're an animal, even though you're not.

There's been a lot of reaction to that topic, so I hope it'll start a change of that mentality. Every little bit helps, ya know?

I really hate that. It's like with smoking. I keeped getting that "All the cool kids smoked" mentality, everytime I turned down a sig. Plus with drinking too. Just because I don't drink, smoke or have sex as often as the "cool people", Doesn't mean I'm not cool myself. Though that one line about that one fur who intentionally spreads it around, pisses me off to no extent! I think there is a low now that you can go to jail, because of doing that. I think it's called, Intent to do harm to others through the spreading of STDs. Which I hope is true, cause you are killing that other person doing that, but slowly.

I really hate the whole peer pressure must sleep with someone to be cool mentality. It's one of the things that frustrates me the most when it comes to the ideals of my peers. I think that's just one of the many things that proves that just because you're 18 or older and in collage, it doesn't mean you're grown up. Sad, sick world sometimes, ya know?

And, yes, I believe you can get arrested for sleeping with someone if you know you have aids and don't tell them.

I know it's a sad sick world out there. It's people like me who want to take the whole weight of the world on thier shoulders, cause we are sick of how the world is going, but can only do so much.

I wouldint say the worlds sick in that sence but the people who live on it, living in the country like this there is still alot of people who don't even have sex till their married and are sure to overtest themselfs every time they have a nooner. However some spirited people that have come early defenetly have a messed up mind these days, the horible insadence that they cause can become a huge epedemic. And in that case your right , it is sick. But thankfuly humans are only one of billions of species on earth.

It's hard to change people of these days but when the day comes things will change, for so much bad to happen as it has, a good of greater segnifigence will come through, it has in the past ^^;.

I'm proudly Pagen, no meens of hopeing on things not in our hands. But something's gatta change this world soon, theres more and more people feeling the way that livejournal was writen. It has to stop somewhere.

If me and my BF Tony ever had sex we're both getting tested less then a day before hand, and more then likly condums will still be used cause he doesint want me to get fixed and I don't want a child( Babysat enough Nieces and Nephiews to populate mars). At the same time I'm never one to enjoy the arousing action, never really got it as anything other then something to create more sickening overpopulation of the plannet so I promis you wont have to worry on this end ^^;;. Still gross that they don't wear condums...

My Uncle died two years ago of a HIV That he got while trading some seringes with drugs, though he lived 30 years after getting it , the disease still killed him in the end and the " Cure" for him was them treating him like a pig for their experiments, pulling bones out of him, raw flesh and meat that they said " if we don't it'll get infected." By the end of the whole ordeal he didint know wether he was dead or alive and he couldint controle his own bouwl movement, eat nothing other then rice and walking was the least pleasurable event.
Though some of the people catch HIV before it gets bad, alot of people don't really care. And in some cases though this sex thing is one way they purposly give HIV to people. It's in our waters and our foods. People always throw their drugs and empty overused seringes into lakes, it's the way they destroy evedence for cops to never find in their house. And some even poor their pee into water filtration plants to stop it from getting tested in the sewers and them getting cought that way. Though it's exchange of bottly actions ( Blood,sperm) There is a 15% chance we could catch it every time we by prossessed foods and bottled water from our own country. It's disterbing that the children of these days and some very iresponsable adults still think their invincable. But with that idiosy comes judgement, the day will come they'll get their " Curable disease" and find it's becoming americas human labrats...

Actually, I believe the virus dies pretty quickly if it's exposed to air, though I don't know about water. I think cooking it would likely kill it too, since that applies to most viruses. Still, it's a scary thing to have going around. I remember seeing a documentary about a bunch of people who got it in China from giving blood. Really sad, especially in that culture where they quite literally were treated like lepers.

Really, education is one of the best tools you can have. Lot of people seem so ready to cast it aside because it discourages their fun, and it's scary. There's usually a reason for rules, and people forget that.

That would explaine why everybody in the world hasent got it o-o. I heard about it being in our water and food because the pee goes in the water, and the water goes into the vegies,fruites and grains, those go into animals and we eat the vegies and animals. I think it was on Dateline.

Oh man I can't believe that happened in China O-O... Those guys are often very clean and hate germs and disease yet, that happened in a place that was supposto be the cleanest of all... Thats horible.

The more educated someone is on the situation the better they can help stop themselfs from getting it, or giving it to other people after they have it. I guess it's human nature for some to not lisen to reason.. I never get why people go againced the rules of a forum or group, and in this case life..


Oh and about that crime to have sex and know your HIV possitive, thats worth life in prison in some cases if you did it daliberately. We had a problem earlier this year with a guy who had a severe form of TB and going on two planes. They where giving him the same treatment and it mensioned " They where treating him like a aids murderer" So I guess they act like it's just as bad as when someone shoots another person.

The thing about countries like China is that they like to censor bad publicity. The reason so many people were infected is because after they drew blood, it would be mixed in with the other people's blood and get injected back so people would recover faster, and would be able to give more blood sooner. To make things worse, if someone's parents or siblings were infected, their families would be assumed to be effected as well, and would also be shunned. Really is a sad situation.

To China's credit though, the government seemed to be making an effort to take care of these people, and to educate people about AIDS. I don't want to sound all anti-China here.

In the documentary, there was one couple who had AIDS, so they adopted a child who had it too, since they couldn't have kids of their own.
