Have you ever made a card- or boardgame?

Yes? Awesome!
You see, these last months I've been thinking about working out some concepts and ideas I had years and years ago. The past few weeks I've started working out the details of this card- and board game.
...and it's not as easy as I thought it would be. x_X
So yeah, any help you can give is welcome here.
No? No worries. You can still help me, if you want to.
Like, if YOU were to make a card- or board game. what would you make?
Would you go with something like Monopoly? or maybe strategic wargames like Warhammer?
A card game like Magic the Gathering or Pokemon?
Tell me what you would LOVE to see, play or create (in case it doesn't exist yet).
I have the basics down, so I won't make any big changes.
It'll be a card/boardgame hybrid that has: building an economy, dealing with random events, training and fighting units, influencing the game with the cards you draw (minor deck building option at mid/end game)
There is one person who knows more about this here on the site.
IF that person dares say or reveal more information about the game, I'll have said person hunted down. >:C
Also, mom decided she wants a new dog after all. So tomorrow we're off to go buy a new doggie.
It will be a Cavalier King Charles. :3

FA+

o3o im not finished
I'm aiming for a board/card game combo though. And dice rolls... and units with stats... and... and more stuff!! X_x
I would torture you for a few weeks before I even consider something merciful as shooting you. >_>
Like a War-game ala Warhammer, but only having access to units per your funds, like Monolopy.
But taking into account having to spend funds periodically to 'pay' for your units.
$100 credits every twenty turns to company-figurines/company cards.
It's just a matter of allocating the required amount to bring them into the game.
We made two card-games here and a lot of projects of D&D - well, no one still complained.
It's hard to explain without spoiling the entire game, so I'm looking for general tips and suggestions. x_X
Maybe once I worked out a bit more and got it patented, I can talk more freely about it. x3
Well, then) If you'll need some specific help, or something...
Does anyone recall the Sim Ant game from yore?
Ants certainly have covering resources and battle units, certainly you could incorporate some sort of monolopy-style accqusition of spots on the board, with your foes, the opposing-cloured-ants trying to dislodge you and bring down chittenious genocide.
And don't land on the ant-lion squares, otherwise you have to wait out a turn or two.
