The midpoint of the semesters are really, really hectic for everyone. ^^ I guess you could call me lucky because I had to go through a move in the past week, so now I'm in an independent studies program for my schooling. But holy cow, that's a lot of work just in general. 400 frames? Jeeze. .-.

Thankies, and yeah, it's a lot of work, but it is self-imposed work, so it is a good thing. I may not finish it this month solely because I need to do more work on anatomy instead... Too much to focus on!!!

I'm lucky (kinda) because I'm unemployed, leaving me more time to work, but that also means I have less money... :B At least I made all my big expenditures before I quit my job.

As an animator, one must study drawing, composition, animation, acting, storytelling, cinematography, anatomy, and any other focus of study that may positively impact their shot. To say that it should probably take about 8 years of dedicated study is not an understatement...

What have you been reading about? lol how much have you studied about those at Disney?

That's mostly thanks to Eisner, the CEO who treated the entire brand as a cash cow, allowing the board to order up inane sequels in order to make whatever money they could off of existing IPs. Watch "Dream on Silly Dreamer" (you can see it on Itunes) for the animator's take on most of it, up until the "Tom Meetings" in which they were all fired because the producers believed that audiences had no more taste for 2d animation...

Honestly it's a really long story in which the Disney brand was completely neutered, that is, until leadership from Pixar was leached over in the merger (Once a filmmaker was in the position of leadership, things got better, as opposed to just a businessman). That only happened in 2006ish, so for the most part the only movie that has really received a push (hand-drawn wise) from Disney is Princess and the Frog, which was a much better turn, although definitely a little too derivative of the past. But yeah, long discussion that mostly involves the business bungling of CEOs and upper management.
