I assumed when you said "homosexuality" you meant a choice to "switch" to permanent homosexuality.
I agree with your point, but I'm saying someone could "choose" homosexuality the same way one chooses to get a bunch of tattoos or piercings. It sets you apart, something against the grain of the regular public.
The inherent problem with that statement is that you would have to assume that human nature could be over ridden by sheer choice. It would be "cool" and "trendy" for a bit, but it still wouldn't be what your body craved. What you're doing is not fulfilling any sort of desire... it is just something you're doing to set you apart from everyone else.
Just like your desires as a homosexual call for another man to be your partner, a heterosexual person requires the opposite sex... and if you can't get hard with the same sex present, then how would you perform any form of homosexual activity?
I'm not talking about just changing actions. When I say switch, I mean a complete change of orientation, so that those feelings you specify are, in fact, true and truly homosexual.
That is, by some magic, the very human nature itself is changed.

So then... my question is not answered.
Why would anyone *CHOOSE* to be homosexual?
