Can I haz conversations on more than yiff plees?

The reason I haven't started chatting with the community in rooms or forums is because I know how many people sign on merely for yiff. I don't think my favorite artists would be so blase, or any of my known friends. But I want to get to know more people, and have friends to chat with, without being superemo, or endless attempts at yiff.
I know I'm asking for a miracle or a dozen, but there MUST be furs out there who want to have regular conversations about the fandom, life, hobbies, or writing, or just make new friends! Friend friends, not fwb's or some odd composite. Flirting is fun, but I have enough yiff time between my mate and my paws already.

On steam, there are a few furry groups that have generally nice people in the chatrooms. Though some can be a little murry-purry, they dont often try to yiff-rp people. The FA forums is a pretty safe place too, in my experience.
And hell, you could talk to your favourite artists, like you mentioned. Alot of artists here are really chill and don't want people all up in their grill with touchy rps and lovey-dovey, murry-purry shitnit. foshizzle.
