Hair nest! Ratties are the best for that - though I've never had the pleasure of sharing my life with any. In Alberta they're outlawed, as pests :C

i know!! little bandits, eatin up the farmlands.
i read a news story awhile back about how a couple brought a pet rat into alberta without knowing the laws, but then they found out about it & turned the rat in to be euthanized. anyway, everyone at the animal shelter fell in love with it & sent it back to b.c. instead of killing it! it was a cute story (:
