But I actually did tell my mom about my furry side, and she was very accepting of my choice c: I could never tell my dad, he's very judgemental >.>;

Ah, that's so awesome! Cons are totally worth going to solely for all the awesome swag you can find in the dealer's room, everything else is just icing on the cake! :D

Lol, whenever I go to furry cons I bring my homework and do it in the little Zoo/ rest area. That way I can hang out with furiends and do my homework at the same time ^.^

Anime cons seem like a blast too... I've missed every single one in my area this year, you're lucky you could go to one x3

Though I totally agree, sometimes putting off homework is the best thing you can do xP

And oh, world geography... I had to do a poster project in geography last year, like, I got an outline map of all the European countries, and I had to label them and draw something that represented them... and well, you know the anime Axis Powers Hetalia (I'm guessing you might, it's really popular x3)? With all the countries of the world personified as people? I just drew the characters into their countries on the map and got an A+ xD

Aws, that does suck... there should be more furry cons all over the place. Furs are too tentative to start new ones, they worry about "oh, what if nobody shows up?" without considering that furry is a global phenomena and that in most cases, their con will at least be appreciated by a few people!

There's only one con in my area, way down in south Jersey, but I go every year! And I got to go to Anthrocon once! I can't believe that there are no furcons in New York City! *.*
