Okay...I have a few questions, regarding the anime and how it works.
Ash has now reached the Isshu (?) region, right? He's done...four Pokemon Leagues, plus the Orange League, the Battle Frontier AND won a total of 32 League badges, correct? His Pokemon, or at least his Pikachu, should by all rights be some sort of insanely powerful critter.
And yet, in the first few episodes of the new series, his Pikachu CAN'T EVEN BEAT A BIRD!!!!!!!!!!!! How pathetic is that??!?! It's almost as if Pikachu suddenly looses all experience when Ash goes to a new place...*throws hands in the air* C'mon people...continuality!!
And on the subject of Ash's uselessnes...he once again catches the Normal/Flying type of the region. How FREAKIN predictable. And now he's got all three of the starters...why can't they give him a decent Pokemon for once??!? He finally gets something good, Gible, and then he leaves it at home!
Add to that his inability to understand Pokemon genders and why his MALE Pikachu cannot attack a FEMALE Smugleaf (can't remember the Japanease name) when she uses Attract. *facepalms* And last season, the idiiot uses VOLT TACKLE against an ELECTIVIRE...DUUUUHHHH. Motor Drive...evidentally, he's not clued in with abilities either.
*pants hard and closes eyes* Okay...I'm good now...just needed to vent. Feel free to reply.

I stopped whatching when sinnoh started..He IS an idiot..lmao, I mean, it would only make sense that he would get better as he goes along, but, nope..
Now, I just read the manga and stick with the games :P

But seriously, TO HELL WITH POKEMON! That show isn't supposed to have any sense- much like Ben 10 Alien Force and Ben 10 Ultimate Alien. Go watch reruns of Digimon if you must, but IGNORE Pokemon. It's just too cretinous.
*shudders* Imagine what its gonna be like when they do a Triple Battle in the anime...he'll suck so bad at that
Hell, I stopped half-way through the Sinnoh journey.
I have a theory about the show though: there is no level cap of 100. With this in mind we can assume that in every new region one enters, the pokemon are at super high levels. That or his abilities as a trainer really do suck and the show should implode.
OR
Ash's pokemon are weakened due to some airborne illness every time they come to a new land xD Kinda like Small Pox in the new world. I like this idea better.
Either way, some Animes don't make sense...because they're Animes. D:

At least in the Sinnoh series, he kinda looked to have potential...he managed to get a decent Pokemon in Gible, yet he leaves in behind...does he not remember how freakin awesome Cynthia's Garchomp is?
