Russia and Japan may be going to war with one another over 2 Japanese islands which were taken in WWII. These islands are oil rich, and Russia does not want to relinquish them for any reasons. They believe that, the islands belong to them, since their original capture.
If Russia and Japan go to war with one another over who can lay claim to Japanese islands then, it will be the beginning of WWIII. If the war does happen to break out, Russia and Japan will be forced to leave the UN since neither the UN, nor the US will be capable of backing either nation, with out fighting them selves. We will be more willing to lose Russia as an ally since all they offer us at this moment is awesome Vodka, and Oil.
Japan is supporting us very well, financially, with all of the electronics, and technology that they offer. It is my firm belief that, should war break out, we will drop Russia as out allies to support japan since it is more profitable to support Japan, in the long run. This will force the US into yet another cold war with Russia, which may end up becoming a Nuclear, or even Atomic war, with Russia.
If diplomatic solutions are not found, and found fast, the Japanese government is going to declare a formal war upon Russia, and the, with strong likelihood, an actual war.
If any of this is to come to pass, a lot of our loved ones are going to be drafted, just in case either nation decides to attack us. Neither nation would ever admit to the attacks on US soil. How ever, if any nuclear devices land on US soil, I believe that, the US will attack Russia, since our Cold War with them in the 50's to 90's.
