I see frustration in me future...

jej, Jahari is now in possession of...(wait for it)...new media! holy crap, yes, i'm giving my tradional art another try..lord only knows how long i've been neglecting the pencil (forgive me almighty pencil mogul in the sky), but now i'm gonna be trying out some ink and water-soluble pencils...pray for my sanity. Any tips would definitely be helpful..in fact, I'm practically begging for a few :P To be honest, having to start over on my drawing (i'm doing it because i'm not so sure my current style will work on paper) doesn't feel too bad...at least not yet, that is. I may end up doing a couple o' rant journals later, but for now, rejoice in the knowledge that I'm not totally inactive! ^^ On the digital art side of the spectrum, plenty of pieces planned, one in the finishing stages, another waiting in the wing for possible coloring, and then there's the gift art for my friends of awesomeness. Again, any tips for the use of inks and watercolor pencils'd be very, very, very much appreciated. Thanks for reading through my little spill of the evening, enjoy your day and sleep well ^^

I use them like normal colour pencils to give a base colour with some detail then refine when dry with a sharp dry pencil and/or acrylic paint.
When using with ink, remember to use waterproof ink! (you'd be surprised how obvious this isn't in practice)
Try not to apply the pencil too heavily, when water is added the pigment tends to be quite rich. Experiment a bit before you attack any art you want to keep, they can be a little unpredictable but I can happily say that with experience comes joy ^-^
I love my Derwent Watercolour Pencils, they're my bestest art friends evar!
erm...i've never used colored pencils in a serious manner ^^; only as a kid while coloring..i might need a wee bit of help in that department, too
roger that! thanks a ton for the help and tips ^_^
P.S. no being uber talented and better than me, that would suck XD
