Anyone who knows a lot about computers out there?

This story's missing a wishing well, No mirror to show and tell, No kiss that can break the spell.
I'm saving up to buy a laptop but I have absolutely no idea what I should look for in a computer. I only need it for three things. Drawing, internet, and one game that I would like to play regularly >.> I found the system requirements but I'm lost on a few of them. http://megaten.aeriagames.com/info/sysreq Apparently I know nothing about computers! YAY! It doesn't help that I'm on a tight price range seeing as I'm buying this with my own money out of pocket so that its MINE and my family can't use it. Yes, I'm being...frugal. I think thats the word for it. Anyways! I'd absolutely love if someone out there could help me :D I'd be eternally grateful!
You'd probably want something like this laptop. It's hard to find something much less than that $$$ wise because the game you want to play requires a really bitchin' processor.
You could always browse their site (I never by PC equipment from anywhere else) and find a computer that you like. If you want, you can show me the computer or laptop, and I could tell you easily if it's a match for your game or not.

With this one, I'd expect it to play, but if it didn't work good enough, I wouldn't be too surprised. I'd expect for this laptop, the game to have moments where it's jerky and slow. If it's not a problem for you, go for it.
Unfortunately, installing a graphics card into a laptop (unlike towers) is a very difficult task. You're best bet would be either to go to Dell's website and build a custom model through their step-by-step walk-through, or look elsewhere for a pre-made laptop. For the Video Memory, you'd need to look out for 256MB or higher. If you see 1GB, that is larger, as GB is a higher measurement than MB.
I don't normally like shopping at Circut City because they tend to hide this info with pre-made machines. TigerDirect.com tells me everything, so there is no guess work for me as to what I'm getting spec-wise.
If you were interested in buying a tower over a laptop, I'd be of more assistance with helping you find a graphics card. Partly because the description of the laptop you showed me doesn't include what type of Graphic's card it takes. Each motherboard can be a little different as to what type you'd need to buy.
Otherwise, right click the icon and run it as an administrator. Not sure if 7 still does that but Vista needs to do it for some games.
Should solve any compatibility issues, but it's unlikely you'll have any trouble.

Each company specialize in certain area's.
Mac computers specialize and is ideal for artists. It also come with its own free programs like photoshop and Comic life (Comic life is just a program to make comics from your drawing). Downside is there is hardly and games that would work for it.
Window's is the most common computer for games and various app's. It doesn't come with many wow things, but most MMORPG and other computer games will work for a window type system. Downside is that most of the recent computer are kinda fail. (I have gone through 3 of the latest and cheap models of windows desktop within the first two week of purchase at walmart), and you will have to purchase the art program's.
Waste of money. I have no idea why people consider them to be for artists when you can use the same programs on windows and still be able to do everything else. lol
