Got a Hot Update Tonight

I should have saved this for Friday... at least then I could have said I had a "date" of some kind... Ah, well.
CharlieRetriever really wanted me to update this journal, so per his request, here we go!
At the moment I'm watching the Spongebob episode "Wet Painters." You know, the one where Patrick and Spongebob paint Mr. Krabs' house? You back when Spongebob was actually funny? Fun fact: Spongebob has been on the air for twelve years. Another fun fact: it hasn't been funny for at least five of them. It's an interesting pattern- right after the movie came out, the quality in the episodes got a lot worse. The art style changed and there were a lot more "gross jokes," which are never funny, and the show really lost its flavor for me. Spongebob will continue to be a cultural icon for years to come for sure, which is a good thing, so long as its for the older stuff. I'll never get tired of the "eager face" from "Band Geeks."
At least the contemporary cartoon stuff isn't totally devoid of greatness. In the midst of a live-action Cartoon Network- which is a travesty, because a network that showed the brilliant Dexter's Lab and Samurai Jack has Dude, What Would Happen? on primetime a decade later, but I digress- Adventure Time and Regular Show refuse to disappoint. Some episodes have been better than others, but both shows have plenty of rewatch value, and not to mention are extremely quotable. And as a TV nerd, I find that appealing.
And in the realm of video games... Persona 3. Great game, or greatest game?
The combat itself suffers from the classic RPG problem of repetition, and I sometimes get really confused about what Personas I have and what they can do, but both of those are just pet peeves that stem from Pokemon experience. The game itself is an RPG player's wet dream- everything you do benefits you in some way, and best of all, unlike other games where those activities are largely text-based, the plethora of subplots are interesting and refreshing. Anyone looking for a good RPG to log a ton of hours into, I definitely recommend picking this title up.
I suppose that's all I have to say for now... Not a lot of interesting things to report on, since the Common App is running my life right now. But, "The Krusty Krab Training Video" is starting up, so I'mma got watch that. See you guys in another two months!
