So, I've been saying for some time now that I need a new computer. Mine's old, out of date, slow, and buggy. Haven't been able to use it with LiveStream or UStream because the processor and RAM couldn't take the strain. It freezes up and reboots without warning. Etc.
Wellllll.... Now it won't even boot up. It's DOA. Kaput. Gone. I think the only valid bits left in it are the hard drive (I hope) and the video card. Maybe the DVD ROM, which I never used. The rest needs a complete overhaul, and until then, I'm confined to a smartphone and an outdated Ubuntu netbook with barely 1 gig of hard drive and 256 RAM.
So I need a new computer, and fast! For that, I need money. For money, I need commissions! For commissions, I need... YOU!

"Digital commissions without a computer?! Whaaa?" Yes, these commissions are going to be done on the computer I'll be buying with the money I get for said commissions. There's already going to be a slight delay on getting started anyways, since I have two traditional ones I need to color before getting started. Planning to crack those out this weekend.
Looking at estimate $80-90 Motherboard, $90 processor, $90 RAM, hopefully no more than $100 power supply, $110 Windows 7, and if any of you guys are computer geeks and can tell me anything else I might need (it's been a long time since I cracked open the case) lemme know. And these are rough estimates gathered by browsing Fry's online site in all of 5 mins.
Sorry if I'm rambling, doing a lot of math in my head right now and in a bit of a panic...
tldr; - I'm offering digital commissions, which may be slightly delayed in the creation. Commission slots will be given first come, first serve - but I can't buy the computer parts to do this if I don't have the money. If a slot is not paid within 24 hours of sending my PayPal address, the commission may be dropped or moved to the end of the line.
PRICING:
Single Character:
- Digital Inks: $30 plain, $40 with flat greys to show markings
- Flat Color: $45
- Fully Colored and Shaded: $60
Additional Characters:
- +1/2 the original price each
Simple Background:
- +$15 (I reserve the right to raise this if the requested BG is too difficult)
RULES:
- All images will have a flat or gradient-style background unless a BG is paid for. Minor props may be permitted at my discretion.
- One slot per person, to be fair. I haven't taken commissions in an awfully long time, so I want as many people as possible to get a chance.
- No pedo, excessive gore, beastie, extreme obesity, scat/watersports, babyfur, diapers, or pregnancy. Anything else, if you haven't seen me draw it and aren't sure, feel free to ask.
- Any rating, G - XXX
- If you can't make it to the live-stream, I will be happy to submit ONE sketch for approval and minor corrections. PM me your email address for this if you want a preview.
- Please don't harass me. I'll be getting these done as quick as I can on my brand new hardware which you're helping me buy, so if I don't have it yet, I can't do your art yet. Patience, young padawan.
- You get the full res image, and most pictures will be streamed online live on WatchTail, so try to attend if you can. I'll announce showtimes here and on my Twitter.

Find a good power supply around 600W, minimum. Don't pay less than $80-90. Brands to look for: Thermaltake. Coolmax can be iffy. Corsair and CoolerMaster are likely fine. I won't touch Rosewill. Corsair does good low-cost RAM.
Motherboards are hit and miss by model and company. I've had decent luck with ASUS, Abit, and Gigabyte.
If you can fit a new HD in the budget, do so. Get a nice Western Digital and use it as the C drive. Slave your existing hard drive. The you can run the OS on the main drive and most software on the second drive.
I will add the caveat that I haven't built a computer from scratch in the past couple years so I'm not entirely up to date on the "latest and greatest", but I do know how to build cheap.

also tip for everyone, if your computer takes like a min to start up, go to start>run>type: msconfig >chose the tab startup and star click everything off that isnt essential(not MS or virus scanner related)

Total: 335 $(+110 if you realy want a legal version of w7)
as anti virus id sugest AVG free, its voted as best and im using it for ages now and it has stopped allot
Also, note sent for commission! I'm sorry to hear you need the money, but I'm not above taking advantage of it, considering how long I've wanted to commission you ^^
