yeah, but at this point, ive bout had it with name brand crap cuz they usually be the ones that dont work. Cuz I ahve a seagate 40gig HD that is as accedent prone as anything ive ever bought from walmart. Its a piece of junk that im gonna remove as soon as I get to my dorm tonight. I bought games, a scanner and a router from there, and I had no problems with them, well the lexcrap was lost due to me and the fact the lexmark sucks in general *well there X1895 does anyways*. I love there Z55 priters, but there scanner printer suck. Anyway, I gonna get a 160gig HD, but, I hope its the HD this time. Cuz I know that it sometimes doesnt show in the BIOS whn I search for it, and I know that it isnt the RAM or it would be just a black screen and It wouldnt even load past the logo window, lol. and the processor would make it blue screen. I dunno, but Im gonna try the most logical thing first.

Usually you're fine with Western Digital and Seagate. They have 5 year warranties.

In printers I would look at Canon. They have some of the cheapest ink.

ok, im sorry for the mis-information, it was a maxtor, not my seagate, that was acting screwy. And I unplugged it yesturday night and plugged it back in this evening and it worked again, I think the IDE was loose or something, i dunno, I might just get one just in case

Good luck with that new HD, I'm in need to get a new one too, currently my IDE connector cable is a little loose and sometimes the slightest knock can caue my HD to malfunction and caues the system to freeze. Although I'm not sure it's called IDE cable, I jut know it's not the normal 16 million pin one that I used to use.

I think thats what was wrong with mine as well, Im still not sure at this point. I might just get an extra one later on or as a backup.

*nods* I love my back up, even if I crash my main hard drive, I've still got my data, I may be offline for a bit while I get another hard drive but all will be safe. ^.^
