Ya know, I need to vent just a touch.


I am really getting a touch fed up with people who call themselves true artists, telling me I am too complex to draw. To me, a true artist is someone who strives to challenge themselves in each commission and project they take in, not to just coast through it and only do things that make easy money.

I've tried to commission a few people recently (no names, I don't take to openly defacing anyone) who, in my opinion, have drawn critters far more complex then I. One has even drawn 6 and 8 limbed taur's. That's a lot of paws! My frame isn't even that complex, really I am more like a feral raptor with wings. I can understand the quad wings being a pain, so I even went so far as to give the option of omitting my wings for ease of drawing.

Needless to say due to a few artists not willing to give themselves a bit of a challenge to draw something they arn't overall familiar with, those pics won't be happening.

Honestly I've gotten so sick of it, I am actually having a second ref sheet drawn just so I can actually GET more commissions. Male Anthro Altenia will be used for my commissions, where the artists say I am too complicated. It might sound like a cop-out, but really, with how many times I've been told how complicated I am, I honestly don't care at this point :)
