The Comfort of the Cold
(Ugh, didn't save the first time, gonna try this again)
It snowed last night, not enough to stick to the roads, but enough to stick to everything else. As I was taking out the trash, the feeling of the chill against my face and body (I had left my jacket unzipped) felt....comforting. The snow itself seems to exude a feeling of purity as it sits on the various plants and lawns in my neighborhood.
This is the crazy part: I felt distinctly as if the chill was emanating from some sort of entity, or that it in itself WAS the entity. Had I felt the touch of God? I can't be sure, but it made me appreciate the cold that much more. Snow is such a rare event here that it shouldn't be taken for granted. It's a gift, and gifts should not be treated with apathy, or malice as some people do.
This breathtaking experience during such a mundane task makes me think that despite my love for the red panda, I should be a creature of the snow. Something to ponder as I try to come up with a story for y'all.
Oh, and I apologize for the 'prelude' to a story that I posted then took down (for the three people that read it LOL), I felt it wasn't a story I could work with; it wasn't my 'style', if you will. It was also very short and vague, so I'll do better next time, I promise! :3
Peace out, my furry peeps! ^_^
