How do we know their age in works of fiction? Basing them off of ourselves, human beings? :O PFFFFFFFFFF, could be a macro giant that's 2 years old, man. Features and all that junk could be worked behind a wall of biography saying otherwise.

In some cases it's explicitly stated, in others implicitly, and in all the rest, it's a discretionary matter.

If you have a source for it, it's all good as far as I'm concerned. As long as people aren't actually hurting real children (and I'll grant that the majority of people who like cub porn probably aren't and wouldn't), then I suppose that whatever trips their trigger is fine. My point is simply that from what I'm hearing, FA has better reason to prohibit it than just "cub porn is icky". I could be wrong, but the consensus is that they have pressure either from those who are viewing the site in Europe and can't legally look at cub porn, or from other outside sources such as the ISP that grants service to the owner of this site (whose name I won't mention because I'm not looking for him to put up a smokescreen right now) to get rid of it. In that case, their hands are tied, and all the petitions, outcry, etc. etc. etc. will be moot.

My opinion on cub porn is what it is, but it's beside the point. I don't think the admins' opinions about it are factoring in either at this point, though.

Points of fact, neither furaffinity nor the payment processor which has cancelled service to deny furaffinity users the ability to donate money to the website are located in Europe, nor subject to European laws.

The furaffinity servers are located within the United States, and the company in question which cancelled its payment processing service to furaffinity (and, in the process, seized money donated by furaffinity users to the site for its operation) is located in Canada. No European nation nor laws are involved.

I realize that now, but at the time, it wasn't clear what the exact reasoning was.

I haven't really had the time or the desire to update the journal to reflect that, but again, at the time the prevailing wisdom was that it was due to EU law that the change was being made.

Either way, the change was borne of external persuasion, so my point still stands as made, just with slightly different specifics.
