Quick and Simple MFF Report

The Midwest FurFest 2010 was held at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Rosemont, IL. A new hotel for the con. Very convenient for travelers coming to or from O'Hare airport. There were 2285 registered attendees, 413 Fursuiters and very expensive food prices. MFF raised over $11k in donations for the "Castaways" charity. They specialize in providing homes for unwanted dogs. When the Con Chairman handed over the check to the Castaways folks, they got all choked up. Even my own eyes misted up a bit. But I'm sure that was only because of some furry fuzz in my tear duct, I'm sure.

Next year it will be be held at the same location. I will know to bring my own snacks and drinks next time. $11 for a pack of nuts, really? $6 for a can of soda? I drank a lot of water this weekend.

I return from Military training the weekend prior to IFC, so i plan to be there too. Last year, the Army did a schedule change on me and I had to miss the event. I was rather upset.
