Thanksa who now?
Let me tell you who I'm thankful for this Thanksgiving.
Ben Franklin.
Explanation:
There is no daylight savings time in Japan.
In the summer, the sun was rising at like 2:30 in th morning. Not so bad with heavy curtains.
But that also means that in November, sunset is at 4:00 PM (and getting earlier by the day).
Which means if you're the type of person who likes sunshine, daylight or any "natual light" activities... you're outta luck.
Paula Deen.
Explanation:
Japanese Person: Are you having turkey on Thursday?
Me: Yes. It is Thanksgiving.
Japanese Person: I recently learned to cook a turkey.
Me: Oh really? That is impressive.
Japanese Person: Yes. The first ingredient is butter, right?
Me: LOL
Japanese Person: D:
Genghis Khan.
Explanation:
Japanese "fast food" usually includes at least one of the following: raw egg, cabbage, rice, oil, and/or pickles.
Since Japan is not China, the only thing close to having lo mein noodles in it is yakisoba.
And since America is also not China, the only lo mein noodles I like are Mongolian BBQ style.
And the best place ever to get it is at Genghis Khan's Mongolian BBQ, located back in my home town. P:
I want some so bad... =_=
And finally...
That guy who was at the Thanksgiving party at my husband's office today.
Explanation:
That guy: I can't wait to watch the parade tomorrow.
Me: Tomorrow? Tomorrow is Thursday.
That guy: Yes. That is when Thanksgiving is. Hence the parade.
Me: In New York.
That guy: Yes.
Me: But it's Friday for us.
That guy: No. Thanksgiving is always the third Thursday of November.
Me: Yes I know but...
That guy: I've been watching the parade for years. Really. I know. It's not on Friday.
Me: International.
Me: Date.
Me: Line.
That guy: ...
Me: Yeah. It comes on at 9am on Friday for us. Channel twelve.
That guy: F@&K!
Some random little child: DDDDDDDDD:
Me: LOL
