So...
The new hotel is fantastic. Compared to the winding corridors of the splayed-out Westin, the multi-tiered central lobby of the O'Hare Hyatt was much, much easier to navigate. And nicer, too! I especially liked the totally out-of-place psychedelic lights on the bottom of the elevators.
I had to miss Friday due to work-related shenanigans, but I managed to be there for most of Saturday and all of Sunday. Unfortunately, I've been completely out of touch with most of my furry friends since this past FWA, so I just attended by myself and wandered around until I found some familiar faces.
I was lucky enough to slip into the video game room just before the SFIV tourney, where I had a few very competitive matches with people who were warming up. I wound up facing off against a red fox fursuiter, who refused to take off his gloves. I beat him without too much trouble, something he obviously didn't expect. But then he took his gloves off, grabbed a controller, and proceeded to stomp me 3-0. Ouch.
I also had a fantastic game of Catan with some random people who were nice enough to let me in on their game. Just barely missed a port settlement for 2:1 sheep that would have let me clinch it, but I fell to a longest road strategy that cut me off. One of the better games of Catan I've had in a long while.

What ever happened to San Fran, though! I thought that was your place to be!
