the anger might have to do with the why not the how. The TOS was no based on a "moral" reasoning, it was based on pretty much on "Our pay system don't like cub porn."
However, places like ED, which hosts worst content, operates just fine. I would not be shocked if the pull out had to due with more then cub art seeing as the pay system came on knowing cub art was on the site.

Yeah, Like I always said, it might be _your_ account, but it's ultimately _there_ server. And if they don't want Triple X rated Porn that can peel paint off the walls, they make it clear that it's not allowed on the server.

The admins banned cub porn. Alertpay cut off FA because of cub porn, and they were the source FA used to get donations. So it boiled down to delete cub porn and be able to get money to run the site, or don't and they run out of money and the site gets taken down.

What constitutes cub porn? .-. Sorry, I'm kind of new to this kind of stuff, and FA in general.

Mature or adult artwork involving a character under 18 or appears under 18. Tame work is fine, as long as it doesnt have any violent or sexual themes. So, picture of kids playing at playground or something is fine, or teenagers at school. But say, any pictures or stories of a sexual nature with children or teens, like a highschool locker sex scene, is forbidden.

So two 17-year-olds having sex is cub. That's kind of silly, if you ask me.

The overall thing states under 18 I believe, so rule applies from everything from infant to teen. How strongly it is ENFORCED is speculation however.

I agreee. I actually find it kind of weird. Most my characters are usually around 16. But I never bother stating ages and I don't draw adult scenes, soo I think I'm safe.

The problem here isn't the ban of cub-porn, as I've said previously (and you say here) this is a private server and the owners can do what they please with it.

The problem is the reason- The admins aren't banning cubporn of their own free will, they're being forced to by companies. Effectively, they're having morality dictated to them by corporations.

A Corp with property rights. Declining to do business with someone isn't "dictating" anything. It's declining to do business with someone, exercising right of association.

In this case, those corporations declining to do business has the capacity to kill another business, not due to lack of demand or such, but rather due to moral opinion. Corporations here are dictating morality.

They're deciding *their* morality which is their right. It's not their responsibility to fight your moral causes at their expense. Furthermore, FA has decided not to inconvenience every other site user with an unfunded site due to the inclusion of content that's specifically disturbing to most.

But I realize this is something you probably will never understand. The difference between personal rights and political power are critical to understand, here, and mixing the two is a gross abuse of your own intellectual credibility. They are within their rights to decline association with this material, *for the same reason you are within your right to host that content within your own resources and cooperation of those who agree with you*.

But no one else is guilty of anything by denying you their resources for your particular fetish.

That's the last and final word on the matter.

The issue really has little to do with "morality", and much to do with "legal liability". AlertPay is based in Canada, and is subject to Canadian law. Which has a less absolutist approach to "free speech" than in the U.S. And "cub porn" is, I hear, illegal in Canada.

This is all from Dragoneer, who also quoted this (IIRC) from AlertPay: "what we would gain in a year would not equal what we would lose in a day in legal costs if this went to court".

Legal consenting age for sex here is sixteen (it was raised from Fourteen, no now you can fuck and drive on your sweet sixteenth) so I understand banning the young cub stuff (child protection laws are really strict here. Last year someone was taken to court after apparently ordering "child Pornography books" off the internet (It was an Aeris x Sephiroth doujinshi, done Chibi style that was mistaken for child pornography) and they got a huge fine despite it being a misunderstanding))
And yes, our free speech sucks- except in Newfoundland where no one gives you hell for anything.

Y'know, you and Wolf Kidd really reformed my opinion on asses.
