It must be frey's rune, as my real life name have it's orgin from his name.

Rune: Thorn
Why:Thorn tells us to overcome obstacles, to arrange our live,is a directory to the right path and stregth our will.
My live has been full of different obstacles, some of them seemed to be thrown in my way with purpose. But I know, that I have to bear down those and go forth to my dreams and live-plans. Thorn assists me with this and acts as a memorial for me.

Kenaz (Tourch)

A long time back, before I even knew what Asatru existed, I found myself meandering through a store selling different animals carved of crystal and pendants in the shape of the Zodiac symbols. I lifted up the Dragon (my sister) and looked it over. As I went to put it back, I saw a simplistic looking necklace hanging on the rack behind the Dragon pendant. It was a small, smooth slab of iron, pitted with imperfections. In the center was a rune, Teiwaz (though at the time to me it was 'pointy arrow'). There wasn't any description of its meaning on the packaging, but sitting my hands it just felt..... right. I'm sure all of you know what I mean.

I ended up purchasing the necklace and immediately putting it on as I walked out of the store. I meant to look up the meaning of it, but I was delayed due to an upheaval of family issues, in which I was constantly trying to repair something or someone. One night I had to crawl out of bed at one in the morning to go pick my mother up from her boyfriend's house, all day I babysit my sister, in the late afternoons I was helping my grandparents with the house. The constant tide of chaos in my house was wearing me down.

I took my beatings, though sometimes with a bit of grumbling, and eventually got through the worst of it. Throughout that time I had to be strong, for my family. When I got some free time, I remembered to look up the rune dangling about my neck.

A voluntary sacrifice just as Tyr sacrificed his hand to bind Fenrir. It is something lost, but something gained. The nature is that of a warrior.



So, in a long story short, Teiwaz is the rune I will forever associate with personally, knowing that it got me through the most difficult time in my life.

I have always been Kenaz, for as long as I can remember I've used this rune to represent myself.
I seek enlightenment and knowledge from everything, burn with creativity, and am always filled with passion and inspiration in all things I do. Kenaz illuminates my way through life, reveals to me things about myself I did not know, and reminds me that I am strong and full of life and fire no matter how treacherous my path becomes.

mine would have to be ansuz, loki's rune... it reminds me of my past, of all the chaos and upheaval, and the fact that once you learn to look at the deeper meaning in things, the greatest truths can be gleaned...

I'm fairly new to runes as well as the community, but after some research, I would truly have to say Kenaz.

Kenaz: (K: Beacon or torch.) Vision, revelation, knowledge, creativity, inspiration, technical ability. Vital fire of life, harnessed power, fire of transformation and regeneration. Power to create your own reality, the power of light. Open to new strength, energy, and power now. Passion, sexual love. Kenaz Reversed or Merkstave: Disease, breakup, instability, lack of creativity. Nakedness, exposure, loss of illusion and false hope.

Why: I create as I breathe. My mind constantly burns with new ideas/visions, and my abilities improve without practice (art, music, crafts, etc.). I always seek knowledge and must know what I need or want to know. I am strong in my opinions (sometimes being referred to as fiery) and know I have the ability to do anything I set my mind to, but there's where I fall by the wayside. And, I could go on and say much more, but I think this sums it up. X3
