Ten Days Meme: DAY(S) THREE, FOUR, and FIVE
15 years ago
Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever)
Day Seven: Four turn offs.
Day Eight: Three turn ons.
Day Nine: Two smileys that describe your life right now.
Day Ten: One confession.
DAY THREE (Many of these will be like
's):
1. Be open-minded, in general.
Even if we disagree on something, all I ask for is that you respect our differences, and I will do the same in kind. I will be honest in that I hold a higher standard of people when it comes to openness with sexuality, but I sort of feel it's necessary in weeding out those who may wish myself, or those I love, harm.
2. Be Creative!.
Creativity is the spice of life. Even if you aren't artistic, if you can solve problems in a creative way, chances are I'll like you. I just like people who use their brains! ;)
3. Be Patient With Me.
I am not always the most concise person, and I get flustered easily! Have patience with me, and we're bound to work things out.
4. Be Androgynous.
Either in personality or looks; breaking away from gender-stereotypes will definitely get my attention. ;D
5. Don't Fear Technology.
This plays into Nr. 1, but I like to keep an open mind about technological advances. More often than not, the 'evils' of technology are not inherent, but rather created by the people in power twisting them into something they were never originally intended for.
6. Have Coffee With Me!
Silly, I know, but I really love going to coffeehouses. It's a big comfort to me.
7. Be Clean.
Seriously. BATHE. WEAR DEODORANT. HYGIENE IS A GOOD THING.
8. Have Goals/Wishes/Dreams!
Strive to do something with yourself! Whether big or small, at least have SOMETHING you want to do with yourself, and go for it! <3
DAY FOUR:
1. Job-hunting sucks :<
2. Unmentionable things involving
xD
3. I really want to go back to school, but I need to work...
4. Why can't I just work harder at being a better musician?
5. Why do I not go out more often? :\
6. I should probably clean the apartment.
7. I want more adventures, except it's too easy for me to be a hermit...
DAY FIVE:
1. Forcing My Previous Relationship to Last As Long As It Did.
Seriously, it was a pretty awful relationship. Her parents hated me, we always fought over them, why she wouldn't visit me (she lived in NYC and I in Portland, OR), and she wanted to me be more masculine and dominant. TWO THINGS I AM NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST. By the end of it, she was really uncomfortable with me crossdressing, and I ended the relationship by making out with a male friend at Kumoricon. I don't regret that.
2. Quitting Piano Lessons
This is actually one of my largest regrets, without a doubt. I can only imagine how much better of a musician I'd be today if I had only kept them up when I was little; starting back up when you're older is frustrating.
3. Quitting My Job At City Coffee.
It might sound silly, but I really wish I had kept this job. I love working as a Barista, and while this job was on the other side of town, I was working a fixed schedule of 25 hours a week, and making $25-$30 a day in tips; more than enough to pay for the gas in my Accord. That, and I worked with some really chill people, and all of the customers at our kiosk were super-nice to me. I wore my maid outfit there for Halloween as well, which got a lot of positive response. <3
Instead, I gave it up for a little coffeehouse that was a short walk away, less hours, but higher pay per hour. I ended up making significantly less, and the owner/my co-workers were horrible, rude people that I wanted to scald with freshly made espresso.
4. Every Stupid Argument I've Ever Had.
Which were usually caused by me not taking the time to think/articulate my thoughts.
5. Stealing That Sandwich When I Was 18.
You have no idea how much trouble this caused me. I was denied for housing, and lost a very respectable job with an after-school program because of this. I LEARNED MY LESSON TO NOT STEAL SOMETHING BECAUSE I HAD NO MONEY TO EAT. :|
6. Not Standing Up For Myself or Others More Often/Letting People Push Me Down.
