So. TOS bullshit again. Lovely.

What the fuck am I still doing here if this art website can't guarantee anything's going to stay kosher from year to year? We had this big damn debate about cub art four friggin' years ago and now it's moot because of some financial hiccups? Sac up, admins. Trim the bejeezus out of your HTML, serve more ads per page, serve more 503s to tab whores like myself, ask for a commission donation drive from your bandwidth-intensive artists, hide the cub stuff behind an opt-in category, whatever - but when you announce that everyone has three weeks to save or censor a vast swath of content before you forcibly remove it, you have fucked up royally as an art site.
I'm not even sure I care enough to move to InkBunny or SoFurry or whatever. I might just post shit to e621, since they apparently care more about censorship and availability than FA, DA, or YG.

FA+

the part where they hit was the company that transfered the money, not the ads per se.
also the filtering as been asked for... what? since the creation of FA? :/
Don't even get me started on the speed of development for this site.
As for the cub art... I honestly don't know where stand. I don't mind it, and I've never seen this "cub porno" but since child pornography in real life is illegal, why would a cartoon be allowed to get away with it? BUT, that's just here in the USA. Things are different from place to place, and I should just say let people do their own things, but it does bother me.
Just so I don't get my ass fried, there are a few admins that are on my good side that want to help. Just like any company some are for the people and others are strictly business :/
If you consider the reasons for making child porn illegal, none of them apply to drawings. Cartoons "get away with it" because there is no injury, no victim, no suffering. It's just free expression as guaranteed by the first amendment.
