There tons wrong with Dell if you get anything other then there servers. They fill all there consumer PC's with the cheapest generic hardware (Ram, motherboard, vid, hdd, sound(if it's accually not onboard) and cd) The generic hardware has a much hire chance of failing on you. I can't begin to tell you how many Dell's with bad hardware(usually Ram, mobo, or hdd failure) that I got in when I worked at my local PC tech shop. The only thing worse then a dell, is a Compaq =p lol
I've seen the best results with Toshiba and Acer oddly enough. They seem to have considerably less hardware failure, and they tend to cost cheaper too =) Only downside, and this is with all manufacturers, is your going to get screwed on a battery. It'll come with a 4-6 cell batt., which for a non-gaming laptop(lol) depending on what your doing, will last from about 3-1 hours. If I'm sketching on mine, it lasts a good 2.5 hours, but if I'm coloring in photoshop, it drops the battery life down to an hour, and same if watching a DVD or a vid off the hdd. If your planning for a laptop to game, don't bother unless it's absolutely necessary to have it speedily portable. Top of the line gaming laptops sevearly lack the same power you can get in a top of the line desktop, and a desktop will cost you a goos 1-2grand less. Especially with the Intel Quad core dropping to $280 0.o''
Having actually worked for Acer, I feel sorry for anyone who spends money on their junk.
I have no comment about Toshiba.
I've been very pleased with Dell laptops. It's necessary to immediately remove a bunch of malware crap when you first get one though. They actually come preinstalled with it.
But how did this thread get here? I thought the subject was junk email. :)
I like IBMs range of Thinkpads (especially the thin-and-light ones) - they're now called Lenovo I believe.
They're expensive if you buy new, but you get lots and lots of second-user ones with 3 years warranty on them from big businesses off ebay, who love them for their reliability and general common sense features. This one with a fresh battery pack lasts for 8 hours of watching video and chatting, or 5 of 3D modelling!
It's all about what you're after. I went for a Thinkpad because they're strong and reliable, and are fantastic to work on. Acer are cheap and do the job, Dell are cheaper and usually do the job.
Riesy has a stupid Dell.. cheap dell.. Need upgrade.. its decent.. until I realized how its max really is.. :x oh.. right.. We had this talk Athus. o.o;
Now, if it had read something like: 'Three-legged men fuck slabs of cock. Extremely hot mortgage reduction inside', then...
man i have one right here and its a weird title: "polite xmbj Womanhood pfj posing for fpp OldMan!"
That was a pretty messed up mail. ô..ô
Now THAT is fucked up!
Dell owners. Can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em.

Why did you assume my email was just spam?
Sheesh. No wonder you haven't been replying...
I can't keep these three leggers tied up much longer. You coming or what?
BTW, wouldn't you have "four" not "three"? ... ;3
