no, they're not gay, they're fighting each other to lure the girl in.

^ That. I had guppies before, and it's a fact that you never want to have multiple males or females by themselves, and you always want to have more females than males. This will prevent much of the fighting between males and make it so the females will occasionally get time to themselves.

Well you may end up with just 1 male and no females at the end of it. They're pretty merciless despite their pretty appearance. Also, they jump. I had a male and two females once in a big 10-gallon aquarium with a lid, and the one gap in the lid that existed, one of the females managed to jump through and died on my carpet before I found out.

Also, BABIES!!! Seriously, these things are the worst breeders ever. I started with the three mentioned above, and when I sold the lot to the pet store, it was over 300. No joke. And that's just the ones that the parents didn't eat. Yep, they eat their kids. So.. welcome to guppy parenthood!

yeah I know of the babies had guppies when I was younger, modded my 2 gallon tank out, Leds for the light system. Got an array of 42 LEDs driven off a 12 volt wall transformer.

Walmart had fish but when petsmart moved in my mom, manager of pet department at the time, was told to break the tanks down no more fish for walmart
