Oh, there's insurance on it. xD I just mean that I was going to get a vehicle for myself near the end of the month anyway.

Yeah, never really had much faith in Chevy in general (course... the several suburbans my family went through during the decade we used them didn't help... they were all shit). Get yourself a toyota... Them things last for fuckin' evar! ...if properly maintained...

Well, this was the nicest car our family had. xD Ah well, everything'll be fine. There's a place just a bit up the road that sells some good cars cheaply, or with a payment plan.

Not sayin' it wasn't nice... the last Suburban we bought from Chevy was indeed quite nice and comfy and pretty to look at... but god damn did it fall to pieces. It got so bad that the battery cracked and started leaking on the security system, setting it off randomly in the middle of the night. Our neighbor at the time had to get up and come over to tell us (since we slept on the opposite side of the house that we parked the car on)... and she was a cancer patient. Dad was horribly embarrassed. The security system was shot to hell by this so it had to be removed/bypassed. And then there's the fact that the transmission had to be replaced/rebuilt at least three times. There was a time when my dad couldn't remove the key to turn the thing off so he had to manually disconnect the battery (which is insanely dangerous to do while the car is running if you don't know what to do). Oh there were tons of things wrong with this vehicle even though it was indeed very nice.

My Highlander, also very nice, has lasted eight years plus and I've not had any major problems with it. I've had costly preventative maintenance done on it. I've had to get new tires put on it several times. I've had to get it restored to like-new conditions after a bone-head ran a red light in front of me and I t-boned him. By all rights, this thing shouldn't be on the road right now, and yet it still purrs like a kitten. It's the best damn car I've ever driven.

I'm sold on Toyota's quality. This thing hasn't crapped out on me without it being purely my fault (read: I left the headlights on at one point and it drained the battery)

*Nods* Well, it's all a matter of what my local used dealer has in the way of cars when I go there at the end of the month.

.... that may be a warantee issue as well. unless its 5 years old or more X3

I've hears of some various cars having "flammable" issues, but first I've heard of a delta platform car having that issue. o.O

My family drives little old Pontiacs. They ain't pretty, but they go on forever >.>; Mum had a Sunfire that lasted us almost 15 years before it finally kicked the bucket, so I have high hopes for my Grand Prix.
