Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now.
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever).
Day Seven: Four turn offs.
Day Eight: Three turn ons.
Day Nine: Two smileys that describe your life right now.
Day Ten: One confession.
1. As of yesterday, I'm a published writer. Earlier this year I won an award for a children's picture book I wrote. I also have an internship at a fairly prestigious literary magazine.
2. I'm a fraction of an inch under 5 feet tall. I love being short.
3. I used to be heavy - over 150lb at my heaviest. Starting around May/June of '09, over about 8 months, I went down to 110lb, and in the last few months I've reached about 102lb because I fell in love with using the elliptical and lifting weights at my gym several times a week. I love my body, and I love being healthy.
4. I like to keep busy. If I don't have some class or project or responsibility, I'm prone to small bouts of madness. I've become so driven and energized in working toward what I want, so I hate feeling like I'm not doing something productive for at least part of the day.
5. I love octopi. I can explain the three acceptable plurals of the word. My boyfriend got me a giant octopus plushie for my birthday, and I have an octopus keychain on my purse. They're such intelligent, bizarre creatures.
6. I have a very peculiar taste in names. I especially like unisex or male names for females - Taylor, Lennox, and Logan are among my favorites in that regard, and this is the reason that I prefer to spell my given name, Jeanne, as Jean. I also love making literary references through names: Caspian, Dorian, Moreau. Jade and I had GSD mix puppies that we named Jekyll and Hyde, and I'm saving the name Sherlock for some future pet.
7. I was adopted. I met my biological mother when I was 16, and I wasn't impressed.
8. I have ADD and a half-dozen various learning disabilities. I had a hard time in high school, before the ADD was diagnosed and treated, but now I love school and I'm damn good at it. I'm going to be a junior in college when this semester is over, and I currently have a 3.6+ GPA.
9. I travel a lot, and I love it, even if it's exhausting. I've lived in New York, Utah, Vermont, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee, and I currently make regular visits to Washington. I've visited France and Costa Rica, Canada, and various US states, and I have my heart set on seeing Ireland.
10. My tolerance for stupid, ignorant, lazy, and self-important people is very very low. I know and am close to enough people who are intelligent, humble, and self-aware, so I see no reason to play nice with people who don't have any qualities that I respect.
