Oh, I'd never be affected by the changes, but I still disagree with them strongly. When it comes down to them banning entire styles though, it's just ridiculous, and I don't want to wait around for the next thing and the next thing to go as they try in vain to appease an entity that will never reconsider the opinion of the site. I just don't want to be associated with this level of censorship, especially considering how hypocritical it all is. At least FFN just comes out and admits they don't allow mature work because they don't want to be a porn site. I can accept that, but until FA just outright bans all porn any payment provider will still see them as a weirdo furry porn site.
If FA is going to have to do this kind of stuff all the time just to stay afloat, I'd be much better off on a more self-sufficient and stable site anyway.
Is this a "Moving to new location to get a shot at a more receptive audience" move, or a "Screw it, I'm going home and I'm going to take my ball with me too" move?
A bit of both. I would love a more receptive audience, and Inkbunny has some considerably better features for writers. At the same time, while I understand the reasoning behind FA's upcoming policy changes, I disagree with them and their implementation on an extremely fundamental level, so I don't want my work hosted on or associated with the site any longer.
