To those who follow my journals about my annoying issues with my family, I just want to follow up with you.

There it comes, the time when I hear that my mother is in what appears to be a terminalish stage of her cancer. Nothing is sure, but she is now in the hospital and under morphine...

All of a sudden, she goes from a relatively energetic state to this of a suffering and weak state.

I planned a surprised visit for Christmas, but fuck it, she may not even make it in there so, I just hope I can make it in time. Got my flight moved to tomorrow.

I got very lucky in this unhappy event. My job allows me to work from home in France, allowing me to stay for as long as needed. I could move the flight earlier at no cost without any problem and my landlord allowed me to park my car in her backyard so I won't have to pay for parking and such.

Those may be details, but it eases my time quite a bit. I now dare say that Montreal is the city with the highest contrast between the coldness of their winter and the warmth of the citizen's heart.
