I was able to shadow the career business over at East Valley Animal Clinic and was thoroughly pleased with both the staff, the facility, and their performance.
I watched a TTA due to a torn ALC and meniscus, albeit a bit bloody and such, it was very interesting. The surgery was quite long, and the dog took almost an hour to wake up once it was all over, but she did just fine.
The other performance noteworthy was an.... interesting one... This dog (named Bowser), had a strange growth on his left underside. The owner insisted on having this removed and stated it as an emergency, despite the fact that he has been watching it grow for over two months and decided to bring in his poor dog only -after- it started to drip puss/blood. So they ended up starting with a syringe (after the dog was sedated), and then later decided to just use a scalpel... It smelled pretty raunchy, to say the least... And the chunks... oh gawd... I don't even want to go there...
But yeah, I had a very interesting weekend, to say the least... Our dear friend CircuitWolf knows ALL about this xP
I don't write many journals... but when I do... well... they aren't very important xD
