10 Day Meme: Day 5
I got this from
bluedude
One meme per day based upon the list below:
Day One: 10 things you want to say to 10 different people right now. X
Day Two: 9 Things about yourself. X
Day Three: 8 ways to win your heart. X
Day Four: 7 things that cross your mind a lot. X
Day Five: 6 things you wish you'd never done.
Day Six: 5 people that mean a lot to you (in no particular order)
Day Seven: 4 turn offs
Day Eight: 3 turn ons
Day Nine: 2 smilies that describe your life right now.
Day Ten: One confession.
6 things that I regret today. Okay, let's have a think.
6. Scratch . Ever been ridiculously in love with somone? So much so that you don't see that they're quite clearly using sombody who's gullible enough to run around after them, give them eveything they want, use and abuse until they no longer seem convenient or interesting enough to keep around. *sigh* I really loved him and thought we would be spending a lifetime together. Next thing I know, after seven and a half months together, I'm being dumped via email and none of my calls or messages get returned. So much for true love.
5. Working for ***** An insurance company that I will not name for what must be legal reasons. Let's use a pseudonym and call them ... eshit. Days spent taking call after call of complaints because the company has raised prices for no real reason other than to increase non-existant prophits. A company with such an inferiority complex that I must emulate the major insurers who are in a different league alltogether. Lies lies lies lies lies. And don't get me started on asking people for their Proof of No Claims Bonus ... undervalued, underpaid, harassed by operations analysis teams. I wanted to kill people when I worked there. Worst Job Ever. I've had jobs that I didn't like, but never one that made me measureably miserable.
4. Allowing My Band to Split Up . Yes, I was in a band. I was lead singer and that was working for a time. Then we let egotistical premadona guitarists believing they were the Next Pete Docherty (yes, there's actually people out there who idolize him, I could hardly believe it) and another guitarist who HAD to be the front man who decided it was his band and we were just lackies. I should have put more effort in to keep it going. Though, at the time we split up, it was a relief to have the burden off my shoulders. I miss it now though.
3. Letting My Friend build my PC . Its never worked properly. Its always had trouble. Every time I took it to him to get it fixed it would come back with several new problems and id have to buy him a 12-pack of beer for the trouble plus money for parts. Now its stopped working entirely :( and I have no money to get a new one. So I've got no msn, and all internet business is done via my smartphone :/
2. Not following up my Degree to do a Masters . It would have taken 4 more years of uni and id be flat broke now, but by the end id have a much better job, even better than the one I'm going to in the new year. Oh well *shrugs*
1. Picking up a new game in 1996 called Pokemon and deciding it would be a good thing to play . Now, this is nothing against Pokemon as a whole. This is my decision to start playing. The reason it was a bad idea is that I have OCD. And because each time they bring out a completely new set of pokemon, it renders my current set incomplete, and I have to buy the new game and loose weeks of my life collecting all the new ones AND transferring all my others onto the new cartridge. Were over the 500 mark now. Its getting out of control.
Until tomorrow :3
