Dear Furaffinity
i don't want to leave, because deviantart is a pain in my ass. i'd rather deal with the undesirables of a fandom specific site than those from a universal one.
however the safety of the notes system has been severely compromised, even though it is a feature that was fairly recently made usable.
i haven't been here long, but i'll tell you what i've seen so far. i've seen the promise of a completely revised UI that was never implemented. i've seen FA go down for six to eight days at a time when a scheduled server move was expected to take about half a day. i haven't seen much, no, but i know that there's something not quite right here.
as far as the internet goes, standards are high. you don't do the best you can, you have to push yourself to do better and better every time you do anything. a website like this should be professionally run, and kept clean and safe for everyone who wants to use it. this place is huge. it should be treated like what it is, which is pretty much the number one furry website on the web.
now admins, i know you aren't reading this, but by the freak chance you are...
pull the plug until you can fix this
you guys are obviously still having problems maintaining control over the hackers, as most of you admin accounts are still in "member" status. i understand that there is still some measure of power, since shouts were turned off. but this isn't going to fix our problem at all.
if you take the website down to take a look at your coding and see what you can do to fix it, we're all going to be chomping at the bit, impatiently waiting for FA to come back. but if it were to happen, and FA would come back a safer place, i'd have no problems with that.
for those who have comissioned me, there is luckily nothing to worry about as far as the transferral of personal information. all of that is handled off-site.
if you haven't added me on these messengers yet, do it now. just in case.

PS: i'm not going back to furocity because it's shitty and confusing

FA+

on any site ever
though I could care less about the note thing. I have no reason to believe a hacker would ever care enough to even look at some completely random persons notes or even do anything with the info in them, unless youre an admin or a super popular dramafur, i dont think theres really any need for alarm :/
oops
Which is pretty logical, really.
Also, fuck furocity, sofurry, and inkbunny. I like it here, despite the flaws. Well, mostly.
The site still isn't secure by the way. The only reason they're not exploited is because registrations are closed.
