Looking for a ref sheet artist...
Drink Coffee, do stupid things faster with more energy! Okay, I sat down for a bit and gathered a bit of ref material. So if anyone wants to try their hand at drawing my fursona, you are free to do so. Right now, I still have nothing, so if you come up with an idea I like, it very well could stick and become a permanent part of my character.
Anyway, here is what I know, and what I have so far.
Hair reference:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....ce/hairref.png
The main thing to note here, is that I don't really have a shot of the back. It's not really long, maybe a bit shorter than neck level. Anyone is free to experiment with hair styles, just try to stick to the coloring and that would be great. I would prefer short hair over long though, so please keep that in mind. Also, obviously less "Second Life" looking would be great, heh. Something else to mention, this hair reference picture is only for the hair on top of the head, and I suppose the eye color. Nothing else in this picture is related to my current fursona at this point. Just figure this is a basic idea, nothing more of a general style and hair coloring. The coloring is right, the style is "ok" but feel free to play around with style a bit. Also, I mentioned less "Second Life" looking, what I meant by that was it should look like hair, instead of what it looks like in the picture, that's all really.
Next, color, face, ears, eyes and muzzle references:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....eleghatref.png
A lot of things to make note of in this picture actually. The first one is the eye colors, Right blue, Left green. Mildly dark blue, somewhat brightish green. You can play with the tint or shades if you want, but please stick to the right blue, left green colors.
Next thing to note would be the muzzle, I would prefer if you tried to stick as close to this as possible while maintaining whatever your preferred art style is. The fur pattern on the muzzle is here to stay, it has a Fox like resemblance as you can see by the "stripe" on the muzzle, and I wish to keep that. However, you may play with the nose shape and overall muzzle shape to fit your style. Though, I would like it to remain as realistic looking, shape wise, as possible.
Moving on, next would be the Lightning bolt type pattern under and to the sides of the eyes. I would prefer to keep this, or something similar to this. You are free to play around with this if you would like though. Also note the 'brows' I would like to keep those as well or something similar.
Finally, the ears! The ears are like the hair from earlier, Pink and Blue. Think, paint spill, or hair dye. Not naturally that color, but dyed along with the hair. You can experiment with what you think looks best in terms of how much, or how little pink and blue to put on the ears. Right ear pink, Left ear blue. I tried to think of it like this, imagine dipping the ear in a can of paint, other than the inside of the ear.
Alright, now on to the legs. Obviously the picture I am using for reference is my Feral avatar from Second Life, but the same coloring applies to anthro as well. The left arm would be all white, the right would have tan, as well as both legs. The picture in the middle is the back legs by the way, sorry for the placement in the pic. You don't have to stick to this though, you can be creative here if you wish.
Something else to mention is the chest, on the right Pec, this paw print shape. Like the ears and hair, think of hair dye. Not a natural pattern, but black dye sort of like a tattoo.

Finally the overall coloring and fur pattern. The main colors are the colors you see in the picture. Tan and White. I have no "decided" fur pattern yet. So you can play around with it as much as you would like. I will post a few other references pictures for ideas though. Try to keep it moderately simple-ish, if I ever get a fursuit made I would prefer the fursuit artist didn't have a heart attack from a complicated pattern.

Also, keep track of the Trilby hat in the other picture. That is a key piece of clothing for my fursona, usually worn with the ears folded back like in the previous picture. White Trilby with a black band, very important. However something just occurred to me, asking for a reference sheet and mentioning things such as clothing is not a good idea for a few reasons. Clothing hides fur patterns, and hats hide hair styles and hair colors. So if you wish you include clothing or the hat you may, but now that I think about it... It probably would be a better idea to do a SFW nude reference if you feel comfortable doing that instead.
Okay, next up on the list, body shape. Thin, toned and athletic build. About 5' 8" height, I figure 145lbs or so. Best bet would be to go by the image of Fox above, or use this image from Sapphwolf that I like. Here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2152907/
The tail would be next, average Husky tail shape, but larger. My fursona is part Fox, so that reflects a bit in the muzzle pattern and the tail. Classic Husky curl, but about 25% larger/longer overall size. Normal fur pattern for the most part, just replace the common Black/White coloring with the Tan/White coloring.
Finally, yes finally... Until I think of more things to add... Here are some of the pictures that my fursona was born from. You can use these for fur pattern ideas, or whatever info you think you can take from them while still sticking to what I mentioned above.
I absolutely love these pictures:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....ies/Laika9.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....uskies/139.jpg
Okay that is all I can think of for now, so if anyone wants to try a shot at it. Please please do! I have nothing as of yet, and could really use a ref sheet that incorporates what I mentioned above. Thank you!
EDIT: Fixed images, a few spelling errors, and added yellow text info.
EDIT2: Added more yellow text info in relation to hair reference.
