Neji is a branch off the hyuga family main branch, his sister Hinata is the duaghter of the Hyuga main branch. Neji envise the main branch and his sister the reason why is because. Once a criminal from the mist village tried to kidnap Hinata, The father of hinata (the boss in other words) stoped the man by killing him and rescuing Hinata. The mist proclaimed murder against the Hyuga and pressed charge, Hinatas father was sentenced to death. Nejis father volinteard to die in his place (the two are twins) Hinatas father couldnt let this happen but Nejis father was intitled to except his fate.
