A Thought Snippet

Strype wanted me to share this bit of philosophizing about people here. It was transcribed from a little chat we were having, on the ability to see who and what others are, and to understand what they mean. I like to think people are ultimately beautiful--most of them, anyhow--when you really get to know them.{Begin Copy}
Ultimately, when you understand someone well, it's harder not to love them for the beauty and intricacy of what and who they are
We are all fragile and cracked, like a mosaic made from the ruins of a cathedral window...cast into the uncertain shadows of a closet, we might seem random knick-knacks, even spiky and dangerous--but put us in the right light, and we gleam and shine, even in all of our imperfection
A kaleidoscope, too, is but mirrors and random bits of colorful nothing...but turned towards the light and spun gently, it gives an eternal array of ever-changing shapes, perhaps never the same twice
When you can see a person through more angles than you did when you first chanced upon them, you begin to know that there is more to them than most people know, and that you are fortunate to know even as much as you do, imperfect and incomplete as your understanding may be
