A moment of silence for a great singer

Pavarotti passed away today at 71 years old after a struggle with cancer.

*takes his hat off for a moment and holds it over his heart*
May he rest in peace.
I was first introduced to Pavarotti through my grandmother, who was always an avid fan of opera. That may be where I gained my appreciation of classical.
The loss of Pavarotti shall surely be felt throughout the operatic world, and among those who appreciate true art of voice.
*Puts a silver-laced handkerchief on his grave marker*
Now sing for the angels in heaven, sir.... I will miss you...
very sad, but at least he was prepared to return with his family (father and mother ).
rest in peace luciano! :/
and the fact of the matter is that the man had some talent. And also, that regardless of talent anyways... he'll be missed no matter what.... as he rigfhtwise should be.
And, Ironically enough... if I had to pick which one's style between the 2 I personally liked a bit better, it would be Bocelli compared to Pavarotti. Particularly with Bocelli's "Time to say goodbye" song.
Also, speaking of that, a nice gesture on Bocelli's part would be to dedicate that song to Pavarotti at the next performance Bocelli gives somewhere.
He was truly "one of a kind"...I don't see how anyone could follow in his footsteps. The Maestro will be missed.
