Hmm, yes, lack of sleep does often seem to give you more time to get things done, but then there's that law of diminishing returns to come around and bite you in the ass.

On a side note, a philosophy major once asked me, if I could take a pill, and forgo sleep without any side effects, would I do it? At the time, I answered, no way... I totally valued my sleep time and wouldn't give it up for the world. Now I'm not so sure. Oh, btw, that pill does exist now. It's only allowed to be given to narcoleptic patients, but a study was done on it's affects on normal people, and the results were pretty amazing. They allowed people to remain fully alert and side effect free for 48 hours, if memory serves... Thankfully they're not releasing it OTC due to the likely ethical problems...
