She lived a long and fruitfull life. Rest well, dear lady.

As I have taught over the years, I got to teach a reading course that I designed for my kids. She was one of the featured writers and her book, "A Wrinkle in Time." The kids loved her the most.

Mdm. Madeleine L'Engle, may you now write for God and develop worlds that he may use as a template!

Sadly I was not familiar with any of her works... but I howl for the many wonderful contributions her works brought and the loss of a fellow artist...

Wow... that's sad. I remember reading a variety of her books and sometimes I find myself dreaming back to them. I was always impressed by her stories and I loved her characters. Generally when an author dies, I pay my respects by going back and reading some or all of the books written by that author -- I suppose as a sort of tribute or show of appreciation. For anyone that hasn't read her fabulous books, I ~highly~ recommend you do the same.
