Fursuit Ideas
I am about to embark on creating my fursuit. Like the lovely Markoh, I've been doing my research and considering how I want things to go down. I was really thinking about leaving a space for my real hair to be out, but then after seeing a few examples of the same, I decided against it. Those usually look like what they are - masks just set on top of the head - which really breaks the illusion. And if anyone knows me, they know that I love me some hyper-realism in my art. With that said, I will have to learn to tame my mane long enough to get it in a head, which I'm assuming will take a nylon cap (made for wigs) and a box of bobby-pins. I don't think I'll install a wig onto the suit, either. They just get so messy. Oh well. That's my artistic update for now. When I start and get somewhere, I'll strive for another post with images.
Oh, also: http://www.clockworkcreature.com/gallery/
I'm working to compete with that. If anyone has any input, I'll gladly take it.

I think you'll be able to pull of a pretty badass fursuit, in all honesty.

OP
Aww, thank you! Well, I have decided to go about the facial structure in a new and different way - aka, utilizing my resources, aka, cheating. I love taxidermy structures. Van Dyke's Taxidermy is a kickin' website, from which I am pulling some elements. I found this lion foam head that I'm going to alter into my own face and I'll probably get some claw sets as well. I would do glass eyes, but I haven't found the perfect ones yet. It's only a matter of time. But I appreciate the encouragement!
