My Poem: Of Silver and Moonlight
General
Of silver and moonlight,
I notice my bed
bathed in the glow
of a hanging body.
Though the thought is morbid
when misunderstood,
I see the face of Luna
sleeping as I lie awake
and stare.
The ocean outside
is too beautiful
to turn my back on.
This apartment is perfect,
even if the world isn't.
I'm not really here.
It's only a paper memory,
but I was there once
with hopes
- - - - - - and dreams
- - - - - - - - and feelings,
- - - - - - - - - - -however fleeting.
I miss the sea
and see the mist
crash on the rocks
where I once sat
and howled
of silver and moonlight.
